Nossi College of Art

Nossi College of Art is a small, private, professional college with a friendly atmosphere. We are dedicated to developing students into working professionals in the vast and exciting business of visual communications. Nossi College of Art is special because we train students in a unique combination of methods.

First, we prepare students for productive art careers by offering a comprehensive program which thoroughly teaches and demonstrates the basic skills and theories of visual communication. This traditional foundation lays the framework that will prepare students to be flexible and confident artists and photographers.

Second, Nossi College of Art is a practical college attuned to the real world. We begin with the traditional framework of a basic art foundation in the Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) Degree in Graphic Art and Design. We start with traditional an immersion in digital technologies in the Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) Degree in Commercial Digital Photography.

Finally, Nossi College of Art offers three innovative Bachelor of Graphic Arts (BGA) Degrees - the BGA in Graphic Art and Design, the BGA in Commercial Illustration and the BGA in Digital Photography and Video. All three bachelor degrees will expand your creative vision and give you a major advantage in the increasingly technical and competitive visual communications fields.

Location: Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Nossi College of Art proudly supports the greater Nashville community by serving on the Chambers of Commerce for Nashville and Goodlettsville, as well as the Hendersonville Arts Council.

Admissions: Applicants are required to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, and to be graduates of an approved high school. All applicants must tour the school and meet with the Admissions Director.

Financial Aid: Nossi College of Art is approved to offer several types of financial aid, including art and photography scholarships.

• The Nossi College of Art Merit Scholarship is awarded to recipients of the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship. Students should not be held back from their education simply for want of funding.
• The Mahtaban Scholarship is for those who have demonstrated promising artistic abilities. Scholarships are also available for non-traditional applicants from rural counties and from out of state.
• The Presidential Scholarship for Photography Students is for high school graduates with exceptional talents in photography.

Career Services: Nossi College of Art employees a full time Career Services Director to ensure a smooth transition from student to employee. Employers of Nossi College of Art graduates are consistently impressed with their range of knowledge, their solid foundation in traditional methods, and their advanced, up-to-date knowledge of how visual communications is carried out today.
