For Filmmakers
Columbia College Hollywood is the college for filmmakers. We put a camera in your hands and you start making movies in your very first quarter of school. We give you access to the core of the movie industry – internships, employment opportunities, equipment and experience. Columbia College Hollywood graduates learn all aspects of filmmaking, which makes them well-rounded and ready for work in a competitive industry.

With Filmmakers
At CCH you work with professional filmmakers who share your passion and connect you first-hand with the craft and business of the film industry. Courses are designed to connect your best and deepest talent to principle and theory. This mentoring is balanced by practical, hands-on instruction so that you have the skills to realize your talents.

Equipment and Facilities
CCH students have access to top-notch equipment and facilities including permanent shooting sets, separate film and television soundstages, Avid and Final Cut Pro suites, and a High Definition theater to showcase your work. Our film and digital camera inventory includes the latest professional equipment utilized by working professionals including the new Red One MX Camera package used to shoot many of today’s top feature films. Our future campus addition, the Center for Media Studies, will create an indoor/outdoor campus extension with indoor/outdoor screening facilities, state-of-the-art classrooms and personalized student viewing lounges.

Our Faculty Are Working Film Professionals
They are screenwriters, directors, cinematographers, set designers, editors, producers, actors, production managers, lighting directors. They teach both the details of their craft and the reality of their business. Their personal and corporate connections give students unique learning opportunities and access to equipment and facilities reserved for professionals. CCH includes among its staff several Emmy and Academy Award winners.

Careers Are Started
Our students are placed in rewarding jobs in the entertainment industry as evidenced by our strong job success rate. Prior to graduation, students participate in internships at Hollywood studios as soon as their sophomore year. Our Career Development Office provides direct access to job openings and advisors assist students in preparation for job interviews. Working industry professionals have made it known that a CCH graduate is known as a student who is professional and ready to step onto a live set and make a positive contribution.

Industry Access
Where else to pursue an education in film but in the center of the industry? CCH students have access to industry leaders in the classroom, guest speakers, internships and the job market upon graduation - not to mention sun and surf.
